Participants may not enter in pairs. Winners will move along to the next stage, ultimately being placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;The techniques required for this competition is listed in the previous blog posting!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;u&gt;Judges will pick winners based on these criteria:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/u&gt;-Accuracy/Consistency of Technique&lt;br /&gt;-Power of technique&lt;br /&gt;-Speed&lt;br /&gt;-Behavior and Spirit&lt;br /&gt;-Taking Uke&lt;br /&gt;-Voice, Kiai &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;u&gt;The competition will be divided into 3 groups:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/u&gt;1. Beginner’s Group (No rank - 4th Kyu)&lt;br /&gt;2. Intermediate Group ( 3rd Kyu – 1st Kyu)&lt;br /&gt;3. Advanced Group ( Shodan and above)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1. BEGINNER’S GROUP&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anybody with &lt;strong&gt;NO RANK up to 4th Kyu&lt;/strong&gt; will be placed in this group. The age group is 13 years old and above (Anybody lower will be placed in the JUNIOR GROUP). There is no age limit, and gender will not be separated. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Participant will be placed in a group of 6 (or more, depending on number of participants).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;1 Kihon Dosa from the 6 Yoshinkan Kihon Dosa will be chosen, and the command of “Hajime!” Participant will perform right side only, for roughly 30 seconds until command of “Yame!” is called. The judge will choose the best participant to move on to the next round. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Winners will move onto semi-finals, finals, and a winner for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place will be chosen. (no medals awarded, only certificates)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2. INTERMEDIATE GROUP&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Participants of &lt;strong&gt;3rd Kyu, 2nd Kyu, and 1st Kyu&lt;/strong&gt; will be placed in this group. The age group is 13 years old and above (Anybody lower will be placed in the JUNIOR GROUP).
